Conditions of Fasting

The permanent committee Decree was asked the following questions:

A women inquires that she has reached the stage of puberty at the age of twelve before Ramadan with just one month but I started performing foshing at the age of fourteen m should I fast the two fasting months of the two years which I have not fasted.

Answer:

You should compensate all the obligatory fasting days, which you have not fasted after you have reached adolescence age. The pervious months for Ramadan which you have not fast though you were adolescent can be fasted (compensated) either successively or separately and you should also repent and seek forgiveness from Allah and should not abandon the obligatory fasting (Ramadan month) without a legal excuse. Allah may forgive you, but you should not repeat this mistake again Allah says “repent to Allah you all believes so that you may succeed “ I am forever (of the since) to wherever repented and believed and preformed good deeds and then realized the right path”

The permanent committee of decree was asked the following question:

If a Muslim (man or women) died and he was asked to fast and compensate them before his /her death can any body else fast and compensate for him /her?

If the undone fasting was of a Noah fasting and no of Ramadan month what is the religious directive regarding both cases?

Answer:

If the dead did not fast some days of Ramadan because of illness, the maybe due two reasons. The first: he might have fallen ill and therefore he could not fast those days till he died, such as a man or a women is excused and has no fasting dues and not recovered but he did not compensate fasting of the abandoned days of Ramadan till the other month of Ramadan entered and then he died after the other Ramadan in such a case somebody may feed a poor or behalf of the dead the poor a food of a day for each unfasten days of the previous Ramadan which the premised did not fast as a companies for the last days or Ramadan till the entering of the other Ramadan which he died , regarding fasting of the oath some body may fast and compensate it on the behalf of the dead because the prophet PBUH   says “ who ever died and he has unfasten obligatory days  ( as a due ) “  and in some other saying “ he has unfasten oath ( as due )  then his guardian may fast it on behalf of the dead ”

Shaikh Abdel Aziz bin Baz was asked the following question:

What is the opinion of religion regarding the during the day of Ramadan? Do these cosmetics break ( foil invalidate ) fasting ?

Answer:

Kohl or eye liver does not called the opinion of the majority of scholars, but its use at night would be better, this is the same case with other cosmetics which are used for face beautification such as soaps, creams, etc which are applied on the surface of the skin and such as henna and the likes, although sometime they are harmful to skin face.

The permanent committee of decree was asked the following questions:

A fasting women was suddened by reins just before a short time from the time of if tar (magreb azan ) dos this invalidate her fasted –day ?

Answer:

If menses or restoration appear just before sun setting of a jested then the fasted day is invalid and she must complete its fasting but if the appearance of the menses was after sun setting then the fasted day is correct and valid.

Shaikh Ibn Otheimeieen was asked the following question:

If the women felt the menses but it did not come out before sun setting or she felt the pains of menstruation is her fasting of the day correct and valid or should she re fast that day again?

Answer:

If the pure women felt the movements which indicates menstruation while she was fasting but it did not come out before sun setting of the felt the pains of menses but it did not come out before sun setting, then her fasting of that day is valid and correct and she is not required to re fast it again.

Shaikh Ibn Otheimeieen was asked the following question:

Is it permitted for a menstruating and a child bed women to eat and drink during the daytime of Ramadan?

Yes they can drink and eat during the daytime of Ramadan, but it is better to do so secrets it there is a growing boy at home so that not to intimate sense of encouraging and encourage him to regaled fasting.

Shaikh Mohammed bin salih Otheimeen was asked the following question:

If the women become pure (from menses) after dawn directly should she fast this day? Is it a complete and valid fasting day or she must compensate its fasting later on?

Answer:

If the women becomes pure (from menses) directly after dawn scholars have two opinion regarding this question she should fast the rest of that day but she must fast it again (gadha). This is a famous opinion in the doctrine of Tmam Ahmed. 2- that she is not required to fast that day because at the beginning of that day she was menstruating therefore her fasting is incorrect invalid and this it is invalid then it is natural that fasting of that day would be useless. Therefore both the opinions end up with advice to reject or what can be considered as compensation (gadha) of that day.

Shaikh Salih El Fowzan was asked the following question:

My mother is sixty years old. She has not compensated the fasting of same Ramadan days during which she was menstruating when she married my father science a long time. My father tells her to make (Kaffara) (feeding of poor for each not fasted day) because she was mother and was rearing children she did not fast seven days from each month of Ramadan for about twenty years. Then should she fast those days or give charity as sub jute?

How much charity should she spend to cover up those days?

Answer:

Your mother should fast those unfasten weeks of the twenty Ramadan. She should count the unfasten days and commentate them and also feed a poor for each unfasten day. The amount of food for each poor is what is sufficient for him for that day. The quality of food should be moderate quality scimitar to that which is eaten by ordinary family or to give money which is equal to its price. This called Kafara as a result of delaying the compensation of the unfasten days. She may compensation of the unfasted days. She may compensate those days successively or separately but the important thing is that she should not abandon them. Your father has committed a major mistake by giving her incorrect opinion.

Shaikh Mohammed bin salih Otheimeen was asked the following question:

I am married and I gave birth to a twin. The child-bedding period which is forty days has finished on the 7th of Ramadan but blood is still going on although its color is changed and not like that of pre begetting period should i fast and pray? If I was fasting before the forty days (of childbed) and used to make gosol.

(Purifying bath) before each prayer and then pray and also I was fasting then is my fasting correct or not?

Answer:

A child bedding women who experiences blood continuation for more than forty days and it corresponds with commenting of the previous menses then she does not fast or pray. If it dose not comes prod to the previous menses the scholar gave different opinion. Some of them said she could make gosol and then pray and fast even if the blood was continuing. It means that at that period she was menstruating. Some of the scholars said that she should wait till she complete sixty days. Because was found that some women require sixty days of child bedding therefore she can wait till she completes sixty days then return to her normal menstruating.
